He was born in Hodošan, near Čakovec, in 1951. He earned a degree in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1975, in the class of prof. Valeria Michieli. He trained in the Master Workshop of Prof. Ivan Sabolić and furthered his studies in Italy, Germany, Sweden and Austria. He is the author of many public sculptures in Croatia and abroad and has won numerous awards. He has exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. His works can be found in many public and private collections.
He lives in Varaždin and works at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.

He took part in the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium in 1994.
