Nane Zavagno, ITA
(San Giorgio della Richinvelda, Pordenone, Italy, 1932)
He was educated at the Art School in Spilimberg. At a very young age he began teaching plastic arts at the State Institute of Art in Udine, where he succeeded the great artist Dino Basaldella. He is engaged in mosaic, painting and sculpture. His works were mentioned in 1962 in France by the prestigious magazine “Revue Moderne” ; In 1982, he was invited to Espace Cardin in Paris. He has exhibited his work in 26 solo exhibitions and in more than 100 collective exhibitions in various countries, from Italian biennial exhibitions to the international exhibition in Venice, from Switzerland to Austria, Croatia, Peru, in the Grand Palace of Paris, where he exhibited his works with those from Vasarely, Le Parca, Soto, Demarca. In 1996, together with Cavaliere, Ciussi and Munari, he presented his sculptures in the park of the Miramare Palace in Trieste. In 2001, the Mondrian Foundation in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, invited him to the Exposite Mondial Echo, where he exhibited his creations: many of them are in private or public collections and in locations in Europe and America.
He lives and works in Località Ampiano, Pianzano al Tagliamento (Pordenone).
He participated in the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium Sculpture Park Dubrova in 1998.
