Mira Jurišić Krković, SRB
(Čurug, Vojvodina, 1928 – Belgrade, Serbia, 1998)
She was born in Čurug, Vojvodina, in 1928. In 1955, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, where she completed her postgraduate studies in 1957. She was a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS) and the Association of Fine Artists of Yugoslavia. She furthered her studies in Italy, France, Spain and the USA, and as a scholarship holder of the “Moša Pijade” fund, in England as well. She exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. Numerous sculptures by Mira Jurišić Krković have been displayed in public spaces throughout the former Yugoslavia, and many of her works are included in important museum and gallery collections. She died in Belgrade in 1998.
She participated in the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium in 1982.
