Ante Jakić – Sony, HRV
(Ston, 1930 – Zagreb, 1996)
He was born in Ston in 1930. He obtained a degree in sculpture from the Zagreb Academy of Applied Arts in 1955, in the class of Prof. Kosta Angeli Radovani. He formed schematized human and animal figures in wood and stone; he made cylindrical and conical shapes using wire and wooden structures. He nurtured the principle of montage and play with the possibility of numerous mutations. He is the author of the project TO TAK (wooden stacking toys, composed of free elements), a cycle of miniatures in silver and numerous sculptures in public spaces (Karlovac, Krapina, Labin). He lived and worked in Split. He died in Zagreb in 1996.
He participated in the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium in 1976.
