Zlatko Čular, HRV
(Dubrovnik, 1935)
He was born in Dubrovnik in 1935. After completing the School of Applied Arts in Split, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and graduated from the Department of Sculpture in 1957. In the same year, he continued his two-year study in the class of Prof. Antun Augustinčić. From 1959 to 1963, he was an associate of the Master Workshop of Prof. Augustinčić. He has been exhibiting since the 1960s. He has participated in about sixty art colonies in the country and abroad and organized more than 40 solo exhibitions. He is the author of many busts and other monuments. He has been awarded many times.
In 1998, he was awarded the “Order of Danica Hrvatska” with the figure of Marko Marulić, and the “Mare Nostrum Croaticum” medal in 2004. He lives and works in Zagreb.
He took part in the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium in 1983.
