He was born in Rogočani near Labin in 1928. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1955, in the class of Prof. Marino Tartaglia, and completed his postgraduate studies with Prof. Antun Mezdjić in 1957. After graduating, he became a member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists.
He began exhibiting his works in 1958. He took part in almost two hundred group exhibitions and more than fifty solo exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. He is the author of many hotel interiors and other public interiors throughout Istria as well as several public monuments. For Spomenik rudaru borcu (Monument to Miner Fighter), which was erected in Labin in 1981, he was awarded first prize in the Yugoslav competition for the conceptual design of “Memorial Space in Labin”. He received numerous awards for his work.
He lived in Labin and Zagreb.
He died in Zagreb in 2007.
He participated in the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium in 2000.
