Ivan Briski, HRV
(Zagreb, 1958)
He was born in Zagreb in 1958. He earned a degree in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, in the class of Prof. Vjekoslav Rukljač, in 1987. He is the author of playful and virtuosically carved zoomorphic forms, which quickly attract attention with their associativity. An essential feature of his sculptures is their excellent fit into public space without the need to dominate. He is the author of several sculptures in public spaces in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He regularly exhibits in group exhibitions of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU), Triennial of Croatian Sculpture, Croatian Watercolour Triennial and other thematic exhibitions. He lives and works in Zagreb.
He participated in the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium in 1999.
